What? A 3-hour briefing for non-profit & small business staff and board members on Strategy Formulation by long-standing Roaring Fork Leadership faculty member Ron Gager.

Why? Non-profit & small businesses increasingly find themselves in highly competitive environments, and far too often mistake long range planning for doing actual strategy work. While the ability to develop long-range plans is important and necessary, a disciplined approach to strategy formulation is often the primary difference between sustained success and unrelenting struggle. Strategy work involves a unique and insightful set of questions – questions far too often skipped under the pressure to create new annual budgets and functional to-do lists.

What You Will Take Away: Ron will provide an overview of key concepts and tools for guiding your organization through Strategy Formulation and do so in a style that has captivated RLF classes for the last 25 years. Participants will receive a Strategy Formulation Tool Kit with simple, clear instructions for working with these concepts and tools back in their own organizations.
