Citizens' Committee Regular member of Pitkin County Financial Advisory Board Reviews annual operating and capital improvement budgets, financial planning assets, liabilities, receipts, expenditures, budget and accounting practices and financial status of capital improvement programs for the county and all taxing districts for which it is responsible. The FAB reports its findings to the Board, the districts and the public and makes such recommendations as it deems appropriate. This committee makes reconmmendations to the Board of County Commissioners for the distribution of the dedicated mill levy tax. Terms are 3 years. Up to two youth members are encouraged to serve on this board. There is usually one meeting in the fall to review applications. The full committee meets over two or more evenings to review proposals, evaluate funding and finalize recommendations for the Board of County Commissioners.
